Mathematics Educator ∙ NOYCE Fellow ∙ Board Member ∙
As an NOYCE Fellow, an elected NCSM Board Member, and a full-time elementary mathematics and science educator, I am committed to creating engaging and inclusive learning environments that foster students' mathematical thinking and confidence. With over nine years of teaching experience, I have developed research-based mathematics lessons, mentored educators, preservice teachers, and integrated student centered strategies to enhance instruction.
In my leadership role with NCSM, I collaborate with educators nationwide to advance equitable mathematics programs and serve on various committees that drive initiatives in mathematics leadership and instruction. I also work to strengthen relationships between state and national organizations, focusing on the intersectional paths that connect leadership and mathematics communities to support systemic change.
Beyond local schools, I engage with the international education community, working with educators across different cultural and educational contexts to promote high-quality mathematics instruction. Through research, professional development, and collaboration, I strive to bridge research and practice, ensuring meaningful and equitable learning opportunities for all students.athematics into an accessible gateway for historically marginalized student groups.
